I was talked into this wax by P1et. And I'm glad I bought it! I ordered it form Canada, while U.S. prices were jacked up to $53, I had it for $43 shipped...
First impression, it smells, well like most of CG product - slightly chemical, very similar to JetSeal in scent. Application was very easy, not as easy as Souveran, but pretty close. I tried it on my daily driver, which has a coat of liquid Souveran I applied 1 week ago. To tell you the truth I was blown away by results! It gave me depth that I never seen on white color, maybe because I never used anything but XXX, and DG#105 on it. It looks deeper and wetter then Liquid Souveran. With $37 a jar you can't beat it! I really loved the results! I bought it for tight beading action, but it looks like it does more then just that, it looks awesome...I would recommend it for those who want inexpensive, yet high quality and look wax....Sorry, not pics... Speaking of which, I'm thinking of trying out 5050, or meybe new wet obsession wax... Those of you who tried both, please tell me, what's the difference between both? In looks, maybe durability? Application ease? Scent??? |

Thanks for the review! It's still one of my favorite waxes. I have tried quite a few and NO beading comes close as to what Pete's '53 delivers. You'll be really happy with the durability as well. It's nothing short of EXCELLENT, even when washing it with Citrus Wash 'n Gloss.
I did a white Jag with it not too long ago and washed it two months later. Still beaded great, something I was not expecting. For the price, it's unbeatable. Very easy to apply, even easier off, lasts a long time and fantastic beading. What else do you need? I have tried Wet Obsession today for the first time. See my review of it! If Lusso Oro is a hard(er) wax, then I'd put Pete's in the middle and Wet Obsession as a very soft wax. I found the application process of Wet Obsession more similar to P21S to be honest with you. But the beading looks to be promising!!! |
