Default Reviews:Meguiars;Detailers Domain;Eshine;3M& more

Ok, just some quickies after extensive usage..

1z Klima Cleaner: This stuff is great; I have used it on 3 different vehicles with stellar results. The scent is a light lemony scent. Nothing obnoxious. The directions call for a complete can to be used on each vehicle so to make it worth it a simple $30 up sell is required and a nice addition to the bottom line

Eshine Kleenol APC: I have to say I really love this stuff. I received a beta sample from Eshine and I have used it for different things at different ratios and it has yet to let me down. I think the most impressed I have been with this stuff was when I have used it to clean exterior plastic trim.. One of my customers had some wax or something on his trim and NOTHING I had was getting it off.. I pulled out the Eshine Kleenol APC diluted 4:1 and it knocked it out on a flash!

Detailers Domain Uber Towel (16x24 blue): I this towel is my new go to towel for polishing and wax/sealant removal. It has just enough *bite* to do the job with ease and yet, it still *uber* soft. I picked up 15 and really need another 20!!!

Harbor Freight Wheel Brush: What I like about this brush is the small circumference of it making it easy to get into the barrel, even in the caliper area of most wheels. One thing to mention is that the bristles are pretty rough so you must be gentle as to not damage the finish of the wheel. My main use for this towel is to wrap it with a micro fiber towel, spray it with a quick detailer (I use Surf City Hot Rod Detailer) and I then get into the barrel to clean up anything that is in there.. If I use a thin towel I can get around the entire barrel.. I love this little trick

Rejex: This is my new go to sealant for rims. Now it is not as easy on/off as a spray such as Duragloss Aqua Wax BUT in my opinion AW is not substantial enough for true protection on the rims. I need something that is just going to afford me with a method to simply rinse off any dust, dirt etc.. Rejex fits this order and really provides a very impressive shine!

Eshine Glass Thief Towel: This towel is simply the best towel I have used for windows. Previous to the glass thief my towel of choice was a waffle weave micro fiber.. While it did work very well, they would lint just a small amount during use and it would drive me NUTZ!!! Well, due to the almost suede feel of the Glass Thief they DON’T SHED LINT.. A very important factor when you don’t want to be squandering time to get lint off of windows.

Meguiars 105 Ultra Cut Compound: What can I say; this stuff has made the rounds on many forums and for good reason. It cuts fast and hard. The thing is you must re-learn EVERYTHING you have ever learned about machine polishing you don’t:
•Start the machine speed off slow
•Speed up
•Break it down
•Slow down the speed of the machine
I start off at 1100 RPM, put some 105 on the paint, start compounding and count to 13, if the compound after 13 seconds comes off easy, that tells me I may be able to work it longer SO, I bump the speed up to 1300 and still count to 13. If the compound still comes off easy I try it again on speed 1300 BUT count to 16 if it still comes off easy I bump up to 1500 RPM and count to 16. if it still comes off easy I up my count to 20 and still use 1500 RPM.. Once any of the above steps makes the compound come of with difficulty I go to the last method that the compound was easy to remove.

This product really talks to you by how hard/easy it is to remove. If it’s a pain to remove, that means you worked it too long or too fast or both.

3M Ultra Fina SE: I have been using this more and more and it has been hard to do so. Why has it been hard you may ask, WELL because I am just so in love with my Menzerna 85rd and FP!! In an effort to expand and grow I have been using the UF more often. I find it much easier and faster than 85rd but I also find it has a little less cut. I have also noticed that the gloss level does not seem to match that of the 85rd.. BUT it is just such a pleasure to work with, I really love using it with the blue 3M pad that was made to be used with this product.

Meguiars W66 Backing plate: Even though I *but the bullet* and purchased the expensive 3M UK backing plate I decided I owed it to myself to see what the W66 was all about.. I have to admit I am impressed!! I have been using this backing plate with my 6.5: lake country purple foamed wool and it is GREAT.. I find it just as easy and workable as the 3M UK backing plate. I used the Meg’s backing plate yesterday with foam for the first time and it was equally as great as the 3M UK BP.. I mention the foam being used yesterday because wool is much easier to control with the rotary so using foam with the W66 for me was the last test.. AND IT PASSED!!

Norton Painters Tape: I picked this up at my local automotive paint supply store on the recommendation of the owner. It is half the cost of 3M green painters tape and performs JUST AS WELL if not better.. How could it perform better you may ask, well thus far, I have noticed less residual adhesive transfer onto the paint. It looks like masking tape in color and at first I didn’t want it but he gave me some for free and told me “you’ll be back for more”… well, he was right

Great reviews there bro! Thanks for that. I am a little different when it comes to 3M UF though in that I haven't even touched my bottle of 85rd since I got my UF. Great info and you have some products I need to try out.

Thanks JL!

What is it about UF SE that you prefer over 85rd? Is it just the ease uf use, because I will admit that it is easier to use and has less of a learning curve...Just wondering...

To me it is much easier to use and I just don't think 85rd gives really anymore Wow factor to the gloss than UF so I reach for the UF everytime.
