Default If you have the product itch...Big Lots is on..

Just thought I would let everyone know (and this might be an ongoing sale) that Meg's Gold Class Wheel cleaner (looks like maybe an old brand image for the neon colored wheel cleaner they have) but at 3.50 a bottle for 22 oz, (think that is the size) you can't go wrong, I certainly did not have a product for the 'weekly' wash that would remove break dust on properly maintained and sealed wheels with just a BHB.

Now that may be a specific segment of the detail market, but if you get 22 oz, and three sprays does a wheel, you might as well pick this up, because it did a fantastic job on my wheels. Even the ones I haven't 'restored' yet (read never cleaned properly in the first 35k miles), it did a solid A- job maybe even better or the same as P21s Gel. Agitation is 100% required though. However, I did 4 wheels in under 7 minutes. That is a huge time saver over ONR and a MF towel, not sure how strong this cleaner is on my 1z glanz though. Time will tell.

I've been looking for a product that will really do some work on some caked on brake dust. I can't find anything that works exceptionally well even after using a toothbrush to really get at the brake dust. I may give this a try.

Default To be honest, brake dust can be horrendous

The only way I have found to really 'restore' my wheels was to get some wheel brightener from Meg's. It is honestly the only way to go, you can also get some concrete etching products, but they are way more dangerous. However, it's all acid, and it does get the job done.

1. The process I used, was Megs WB 2:1 (I think I can go even more of a dilution)
2. Spray on to rim and inside of rim, let stand for 10 seconds, brush with firm firm synthetic brush. (think something you might scrub the toilet with)
3. spray away acid after 30 seconds to 1 minute of agitation.
4. Break out your used clay from adams (the grey stuff) and rub the 'SH*t' out of your rim to remove the most pitted dust you can.
5. Re-apply WB and stiff brush.
6. repeat on all sections till everything is gone, I have gotten it down to about 30 minutes a wheel. first time, took me 1 hr + per wheel.

I have only done three, I don't think the megs stuff is going to be strong enough, so just buy WB.

I love Big Lots lol. They have great deals on the Meguiars line and also have Turtle Wax MF towels that are very nice and only $2.50 for a 3 pack. Used these to remove Polish and Wax on my car last weekend worked great and left no marring at all
