I got mine the other day and I really like it. I calibrated it per the instructions and the enclosed calibration foil. The gauge will allow you to measure in mils or microns. I did some test readings and it worked great on my truck.

I think this gauge is perfect for me. I am a weekend warrior and most of my details are done on the side for several clients. Granted I will not be able to measure plastics or fiberglass. Most of my clients don't request graphs of their car or ask to keep them on file. This product will allow me to get a read on the condition of the clear coat and figure out abrasive I can go while safely preserving the paint finish.
