practice....biggest thing you will need.

There are many great products out there, most of which you just need to know how to use.
For example, megs makes some good polishes, i however am used to menzerna so i am more conertable with them, and therefore use them more often.
Megs products are good just not much cup o tea.
So what im trying to say is find a brand use it alot and get the hang of it.

Also dont start doing more then you can handle, if you cannot polish to a point that is worth what you are charging then dont. Perhas start with simple wash and waxes and build from there.

And practice some more.

Im not trying to be hard or a jerk, but to behonest lots of poepl get into the busiess or a quick buck without relizing what it really takes to be one o the best.

So welcome to DB, you have come to the right place to learn., and with that my biggest advice would be to get a much paractice on yours and amily cars before you start charging strangers

A foam gun/cannon is a pre wash tool that softens and loosens the dirt on the exterior of the vehicle, and often removes a lot of the surface contamination without having to touch the vehicle. They should be used strictly as pre-wash tools, and two bucket method should be used after. It's basically an extra precaution to minimize swirls.

I have found the foam gun/pressure washer process great for reducing the amount of abrasion on the car during a wash.

Keep in mind that you'll go through a lot of soap when using a foam gun.

Good luck with your business!

I don't really agree with this. I use a foam cannon and never use the two bucket method anymore. I use a rinse bucket with a grit guard and foam up the section of car I will be washing. Using a foam cannon with a rinse bucket can accomplish the same thing as a two bucket method.
