Default Yellow/Brownish stuff on paint... how to remove?

Hi All,
I installed a sprinkler system and what I was afraid of came true, my car has developed a nasty yellowish runny stain that I dont know how to remove. I am pretty sure it came from the sprinklers but not 100% positive.

I can take pictures if need be but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for removal.

I have tried
Washing, and using distilled vinegar to no result..

I was thinking about using goo-gone but wanted advice from the experts first.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks
Rich

You might have to clay and polish. Pics would be helpful. Etching on paint can be very difficult to remove and sometimes permanent.

Sounds like iron oxide in the water

Requires an alkaline to netrelize it-
