Can you steam clean alcantara / suede

    I found conflicting info around the net so I'm curious what the consensus is here

    can you steam clean alcantara or suede?

    I assume you couldn't use a direct blast of steam. I was thinking more like wrapping a MF towel around the head of the steamer attachment and giving it some juice so you're left with a hot damp mf. then working the surface lightly

    thoughts? thanks...

    Im interested in this as well for my STi seats.

    I did yesterday on a Maserati interior with no problems. I did use a mf as a barrier

    yes i do it and folex on honda/acura "type R" seats all the time
