Gyeon Quartz Q2 Tire is a silica based tired dressing/coating.

How to Use
Thoroughly clean the tire and make sure it is completely dry. Spray a couple sprays either on an applicator pad or on the tire itself. Spread evenly around the tire making sure to use a thin coat. Allow to cure for 15 minutes before wiping off residue. A heat gun can be used to speed up the process and allow for a better cure since it will open the pores of the rubber. A second coat may be necessary as some may soak into the rubber.

Price: $19.95

Size: 13.525oz

Price/oz: $1.48

Scent
Not bad, not good

Ease of Use
A bit harder to use than a normal dressing in the sense that it needs to cure for 15 minutes and it takes a bit more work to get an even finish. But besides that it spreads fairly easily and removes simply.

Level of Shine
Very low. Which we are a fan of. It darkens the rubber but does not add shine. It gives a nice OEM look.

Protection
Very good. Strong beading and the tires stay much cleaner and are much easier to remove, often needing only soap and water. The tire even stays cleaner longer as contaminants cannot attach to the rubber as easily.

Durability
Stated to last 5 washes. Not really that long, but we have never been ones for tire coatings. Also, as with all the Gyeon line, can stand up to anything from 2-11 oh the pH scale, meaning even using an APC to clean the tire will not necessary remove it.

Pros
Great durability
Great protection
Rich, dark, matte look
Stays cleaner longer

Cons
Cost
Doesn't last extremely long
Takes longer to apply than normal dressing

Conclusion
Maybe it is just us, but we don't really see the need for a tire coating. Tires go through so much that no coating will last very long. With the cost and the time needed for this, and any other, tire coating. It just does not seem worth it. If a tire coating is something you are in the market for Gyeon Q2 Tire is amazing. However, for us, a water based tire dressing that still lasts a few washes is a better product for us.
