Poll: Doing my personal weekend/nice weather only car right now. Usual LSP is HD Poxy or Nuba topped with WG 2.0. Car is spray waxed after every wash and love to use Wet Glaze 2.0 before a show or cruise. Should I stick with Poxy and WG 2.0 or go Opti Gloss Coat? The wheels are already coated.

    Started correction today.

Line is reflection from mirror not a scratch

I say you can't go wrong with Gloss Coat. It offers more protection than the waxes and sealants you talk about while still bringing the glossy properties that your waxes and sealants do. Plus it adds hardness to help reduce the wash scratches and marring that you get with your maintenance washes. If I recall, you can add a wax on top of Gloss Coat unlike 2.0. I'm not sure how drastically it would change the look (wet, glossy etc) by adding a layer of wax on top of Gloss Coat but you could always try.

Just that you had to start correcting is a perfect reason to put a coat on that car.

Save the clear coat, correct it and coat it. You already know how the wax/sealant combo you use works. Now try a different product to see if you get similar results.

The car was bought with 1800 miles on it, all the swirls and towel scratches were installed before I bought the vehicle. I used Poxy, WG and D156 to get me through a few months before I put it away for the winter. Forgot to mention that in first post.

OGC can be topped, so I will go with OGC and top it after it cures with WG 2.0.

OGC on black matte will make them have a low sheen correct?

Damn that is a nice color! I would definately do the Opti-Coat. Make sure you wipe the drool off the car first!

Thanx, still up in the air about LSP. I enjoy putting a nuba and glaze on it, so we'll see.

Go with the opti gloss. You can top it with another coat of opti gloss after an hour or top it with your favorite wax
