Everyone likes a good black GTR thread, right?

This Alpha 7 packaged car came to me desperately in need of some attention. It had suffered through dealership/automatic washes most of its life. It was very apparent as the car looked more gray than black from all the swirls and imperfections. Luckily, after 27 hours, it looks a ton better! I was able to also talk to the owner about how to care for it properly as the paint is very soft, sensitive, and we don't want it to get like it was before.

The front bumper had just been repaired/repainted from a run in with a deer so I left it untouched for the time being but will correct it a few months down the road when it's done curing.

First day to work on it was not ideal. Had to wait for the rain to stop so I polished/sealed the exhaust tips so I felt like I was being somewhat productive:

Finally got a break from the rain for about two hours:

No clay bar pictures as it wasn't very dirty in that sense.

Moving on to the next stage. It was very difficult paint to work with. More difficult than the last black GTR I did that I can remember. I feel like if I looked at it wrong it would get offended and another light scratch would appear. Yeah...

Exhaust has to be cleaned after every time it starts up....

Wheels pulled one-by-one and faces/barrels cleaned/sealed. The gunk solidified there was so much! Calipers steam cleaned and sealed:
